Raised in a Quaker family in the Philadelphia area, Hannah was an active lay leader, offering retreats and helping people discover their spiritual gifts. In her early thirties, she experienced an unexpected call to enter the Episcopal Church where she was encouraged to attend seminary in Sewanee, TN. Ordained as an Episcopal priest in 1994, Hannah has served as rector (senior pastor) for four churches as well as diocesan staffs in PA, NYC, Western MA and NH. She also served as chaplain in a hospital setting and at Ground Zero in NYC. Her areas of interest are spiritual formation, reconciliation through transformation, adaptive leadership and creative approaches to engaging the Gospel in the world.
Hannah is focusing her energy and gifts through a new endeavor, Golden Thread Coaching and Consultation since her retirement from full time ministry in 2018. This new call focuses on life coaching, consultation with organizations and leaders, retreat design/leadership and spiritual direction. In all areas, Hannah brings creative thought and artistic expression. Many of her life coaching clients are church leaders (lay and ordained) and women experiencing life transition. She is skilled in listening, building consensus and mediating conflict. Creating safe space for people to be their authentic selves is one of Hannah’s priorities.
She and her husband, Bob, live in Concord, NH. Hannah loves to garden, create art, hike, swim and visit with their three sons and their families, including five grandchildren.
