Rev. Althea Bailey has over 15 years of experience in human capital development services, education, workforce, career, adult, and youth development. Her expertise includes management positions within non-profit, post-secondary education, social services and religious organizations.
Rev. Bailey has a strong but flexible leadership style that is adaptable to the changing demands and needs of an organization. She has excellent motivational, problem solving, networking and public speaking skills and is highly skilled in strategic planning, partnership development, financial management, budgeting, program development, and staff development.
Rev. Bailey earned her undergraduate degree from Baruch College with a concentration in International Business, establishing her global mindset and creating intentional inclusivity as her mode of operation. Her passion to unlock hidden potential in herself and others directed her to achieve her Master of Social Work from Fordham University and certification in the Seminar In Field Instruction (S.I.F.I.) Her passion to transform individuals and communities by providing personal and professional empowerment reinforced her path towards a faith base core, including her master’s in divinity from New York Theological Seminary, providing a spiritual locus from which to interpret lived experiences.
Rev. Bailey is an Associate Minister within ABC Metro New York and is a guest speaker, workshop leader and motivational speaker for numerous gatherings of local churches and community events. She is the founder of “Well Encounter Today” a platform which provides life coaching as transportation to transformation through self-examination. Through this platform, she creates a safe space for individuals to locate and eliminate their obstacles, develop self-mastery and live their best lives. She is currently preparing to become a Board-Certified Chaplain (BCC), bringing empathy, hope and spiritual direction to those in health crisis.
